DYNAMO launches collectivelibrary and asks for your kind collaboration!
collectivelibrary is what is says it is: the first collective library for contemporary creation
In collectivelibrary one can find Greek and foreign "titles" related to contemporary visual, applied and performing arts, and architecture. The "titles" can be: books, catalogs, periodicals or other printed material (special editions, signed posters, zines, award-winning advertising and promotional material).
collectivelibrary is the first library that asks you not to borrow from it, but to lend to it one or more "titles" that you own, making them available to other users.
For each title that you lend you retain ownership and therefore you can always withdraw it.
Your information and the date of lending, will be apparent in each "title" and in the library inventory.
The choice of each title that you lend is yours. For those of you who need help in choosing their "title" a list of suggested titles will be available soon.
collectivelibrary is the first participatory library that is formed bottom-up, and its content is shaped by its own users (user-generated content).
In collectivelibrary "Wikipedia" meets "Behance Network" in the physical space: collectivelibrary empowers the creative community both by widening the accessibility to knowledge, information and research, and through the promotion of creative projects and "titles" to the wider public.
In collectivelibrary, you "offer" content and we "offer" space, management, proper operation, direct contact with the creative community, and the first 100 titles.
We already have a very positive response from publishers and institutions from all over Greece and we look forward to your active participation!
We are available to answer any questions you may have about collectivelibrary in dynamoprojectspace@gmail.com or info@dynamo.org.gr
The logo of collectivelibrary you see is temporary. The final logo will be designed via an open competition. More details in a few days...
